Kristina Carlevale joins Country Meadows Retirement Communities as Executive Director of the organization’s Hershey campus. In this role she leads campus co-workers in every department, prioritizing the needs and preferences for residents to provide a dynamic home environment while offering a high quality of care.

Personal life experiences led Carlevale to work in the senior living industry. “I was the primary caregiver for my grandmother diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. When the time came to find skilled nursing care for her, I was not happy with the quality of care provided,” she says. “I wanted to be part of the industry and the change to make it more resident-centered.”
Carlevale has a long tenured career in senior living and has held various positions including Nursing Home Administrator, social workeer and retirement community Executive Director. She is a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator as well as a Certified Personal Care Home Administrator.
She says personal connections with residents and staff are key, adding, “I make sure to take time to get to know my residents and co-workers, so I can support them to the best of my ability.”
Throughout her career, Carlevale received great advice from residents she has taken to heart. “One of my residents once told me that life is short, so don’t take life so seriously and laugh every day,” she says, adding, “And another resident reminded me to enjoy every day because age doesn’t define a person. This resident was 105 years old and had more energy than most young people!”
Carlevale replaces former Executive Director, Amy Wagaman, who was promoted to Vice President.
Carlevale says she is thrilled to be part of the Country Meadows family. She holds a master’s degree in Healthcare Administration and a bachelor’s degree in psychology.
